(b) At such time as the membership of this Ring reaches
thirty-five or more, the Board may appoint an Assistant Secretary to assume specified
duties of the Secretary.
Sec. 4. Treasurer: The Treasurer shall be a resident of the city of Wichita or it's
suburbs and shall have experience and/or at least single entry book keeping knowledge. The
Treasurer shall collect all dues, fees and assessments, and keep a true and accurate
account of same. He shall disburse these monies at the order of the President and consent
of the membership and keep the Secretary informed as to the status of members. He will
submit all books, records and receipts to the President for audit prior to the Annual
Meeting or anytime upon request of the President. As these files accumulate, those no
longer required for current use shall periodically be transferred to the Club Historian
for permanent record and storage.
Sec. 5. Sergeant-at-Arms: The Sergeant-at-Arms shall keep order at meetings as directed by
the President. He shall be responsible that only members in good standing and their
immediate families are admitted to meetings, excepting that members in good standing of
Bona-fide magical organizations shall be admitted to the entertainment portion of the
meetings. He shall be responsible for introducing all guests at all club functions.
Sec. 6. Board of Governors:
(a) The Board shall meet no less than once every six
months, specifically in July following the installation of new officers in June and six
months later in January. Additional meetings are at the discretion of the President.
(b) A majority vote of the Board of Governors shall govern the action of the Board on the
question under discussion.
(c) The time and place of the Board of Governor's meeting shall be furnished to any Ring
member specifically requesting same. Any member of the Ring shall have the right to attend
these meetings and to participate in its discussion but shall have no vote.
(d) Decisions of the Board of Governors shall be brought before the membership for
acceptance or rejection.
(e) A member of the Board of Governors shall not hold elected office in the Ring except as
provided in Sec. 1, Article IV of the Constitution of this Ring.
Article IV
DUTIES & PRIVILEGES OF MEMBERS
Sec. 1. It shall be the duty of each member to exercise an honorable interest in this
Ring. He shall refrain from all exposure of tricks, illusions and principles and shall
conform to the pledge printed on the application bearing his signature.
Sec. 2. Each member shall advise the Ring Secretary of any change of address. A notice
sent to the address appearing on the Secretary's books shall constitute legal notice.
Sec. 3. There shall be one member designated Club Historian, who must reside within the
city of Wichita, preferably an Active member for a number of years with the knowledge,
interest and energy toward the safe-keeping and maintenance of all Club's records, files
and property of historical significance. All said materials shall be available for viewing
at the location of the Club Historian upon request of the Board of Governors.
Sec. 4. The Official Logo of Ring 47, Wizards of Wichita shall not be used by individual
members in their personal advertising without the permission of the Board of Governors.
